Mercy Day is celebrated yearly on 24th September as the day on which Catherine McAuley opened the House of Mercy on Baggot Street, Dublin and dedicated it to Our Lady of Mercy.

The legacy wall charts this hospital's history from its days as the Mansion House through to more recent times.
