The Centre of Nurse Education (CNE) at the Mercy University hospital became Operational in 2003 and has recently relocated to its new custom built premises on 34 Henry Street.

Its role is the provision of continuing professional education, training and development enabling registered nurses and other health care personnel working in public and private health care settings to maintain and develop their knowledge, skills and competence and to deliver safe effective and efficient quality care. The CNE strives to be a centre of excellence through education contributing to the continuing development of effective and equitable health and social care in accordance with national policy.
