2 pm – 4 pm  and   6:30 pm – 8:30 pm
We welcome visitors to our hospital and realise the importance of these visits to the well-being of our patients.  We advocate peace, quiet and tranquility for our patients to recover and keep visitors to a minimum of two per patient.  Your cooperation is required should staff request you to leave a patient's bedside.
  
Patients who have children less than 12 years old who want to visit are very welcome to visit their parents.  We do request that children are supervised by an adult at all times while in the hospital.
 
Immediate family may visit seriously ill patients outside of normal visiting hours and this must be arranged with the nurse manager on the ward who will inform our reception staff.
 
Intensive Care Unit (ICU)

No visiting during ICU rest period of 2:30 pm - 4:30 pm.
 
Visitors may be requested to leave the unit during procedures.  Generally, no more than two persons should visit a patient at any one time due to space constraints.
 
It may be appropriate for children to visit a patient in ICU; however, this must be discussed with the clinical nurse manager in the unit.  Babies under one year are Not Permitted.
 
Children’s Ward

Children’s Ward

The general ward visiting policy applies to the children’s ward.
 
Parents / guardians are welcome to visit from 8:30 am – 9 pm daily and one parent / guardian is encouraged to stay overnight with their child.
 
We welcome the siblings of our patients; however, children must be accompanied and supervised by an adult at all times.
 
It is not advisable for children under 3 months to visit the ward.
 
Visiting for children nursed in isolation is restricted to a minimum and it is inadvisable for children under 3 months to visit.
 
You may discuss any of the above with the nurse manager on duty who has the authority to alter arrangements for very specific cases.
